This tour gives you a chance to see one of the finest Renaissance castles in Bohemia dating back to the 16th century. In the early 17th century the Nelahozeves estates were purchased by Polyxena of Lobkovic and remained in the family until 1949 when they were confiscated by the state. The property was returned to the Roudnice branch of the Lobkowicz family in 1993. The castle is well known for the exceptional collection of art and shows works of world famous artists (Cranach, P.Breugel, Veronese, Rubens, Velázquez, Canaletto), as well as one of the largest groups of Spanish portraits outside of Spain. Just below the castle is the birth place and now museum of the world famous composer Antonín Dvoøák.
